Psychological therapy is a process in which a qualified psychologist helps you to understand, clarify and manage your emotional, mental, and behavioural challenges.

What Is The Difference Between a Psychologist and a Psychiatrist?
Psychology and psychiatry are two fields that often get confused. Both a psychologist or a psychiatrist deal with mental health, but there are significant differences in their approaches and treatments. The main difference between a psychologist and a psychiatrist lies in their training and the treatments they can offer. While psychologists focus on talk therapies and behaviour modification techniques, psychiatrists can prescribe medications and perform physical interventions.

What Is The Difference Between Coaching And Therapy?
Therapy deals with emotional healing and all kinds of mental health issues. It is focused on understanding the past and how it affects the present, and gradually building a more healthy basis for the future.
Coaching serves for setting clear goals, preparing an actionable plan and staying motivated. It is focused on the future and the acting in the present.
To help you choose whether you need a therapy or a life coaching, let me put it this way: If you suffer psychologically and a burden from the past is negatively affecting your life, you might need therapy. If you find yourself feeling “stuck”, unmotivated, procrastinating, unfocused, or you lack clarity and direction, you might need a life coach.

What is the difference between coaching and mentoring?
A mentor is an expert in your field who offers you knowledge of a specific area. A relationship between a mentor and a mentee is long-term and often informal and not structured. A coach doesn’t need knowledge in your field, because the scope of coaching is to provide you with a framework, structure and methodology, while you have a control of your own direction, goals and actions. A relationaship between a coach and coachee is for a specific time, after which you learn to be empowered to continue on your own. Coaching is structured, focused on outcomes and goal-oriented.
How does a coaching session look like?
On a coaching session, I will guide you to come up with reflections, plans and a clear vision of your desired future. We will discuss your challenges and obstacles, and find a suitable solution to each of them. I will ask you a series of so-called “powerful questions” that will make you think deeper about what you want and need, and I will lead you step by step towards gaining clarity about your current vs. desired situation. You will use dynamic techniques to envision your goal. From my “library” of hundreds of coaching tools, I will apply the ones most useful for your individual case. These exercises will stimulate you to think, be creative, be confident, reframe your experiences, see your challenges in a new light and come up with the optimum solution for you. Our sessions will take place on-line or in person (currently, in Barcelona).

I follow professional ethical code, which obliges me to keep confidential all the content of our coaching sessions. You are free to talk about your coaching experience with everyone. From my side though, I will keep our conversations private and never disclose them to anyone.
